Kim? invites you to the night of performances by Lina Lapelytė on the 30th of March, at 18:00.

The performances form part of the exhibition “Undersong”, co-organised by Rupert within institution-in-residency programme.

On the 30th of March, at 18:00, Lina Lapelytė will perform a live version of her installation piece, Trouble with Time, which features texts by Jonas Mekas, Phil Niblock, Katherine Liberovskaya. Singing the texts herself, Lapelytė continues her conversation with artists and practitioners, transforming the recordings, made with Rhodri Davies at the French Pavilion (2017 Venice Biennale) into a live event.
Another performance, “Mickey Tail”, looks at the relationship between the aspirations and fantasies of young ballerinas and their collective attempt to produce a choreography composed of each of their favourite dance gestures. The result of a conversation with the young girls from a local ballet school, the performance highlights Lapelytė’s emphasis on collaborative processes to negotiate differences between genders, generations, individuals and communities.

“Mickey’s Tale” will be performed by the dancers from dance studio “Colour Point”.

The exhibition and performances are supported by / Izstāde un performances atbalsta: Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, State Culture Capital Foundation of Latvia, The Lithuanian Council for Culture.
