Putvinskis Street Day: other side of the street

Cultural street festival Putvinskis Street Day this year invites you to the bustle of creativity and music that will challenge the saying “the grass is greener on the other side”. Is the grass really greener on the other side? Does it depend on which way we look at it? Is the other side very different? What separates us from others – a fence, a path, a street, a city, a state border? Would tearing down the fence make the other one of us? Can we unite the different sides of the street?

We invite you to submit proposals for performative and interactive creative activities. Examples of proposed activities: creative workshop, performance, excursion, artistic action, cultural/artistic service, interactive installation, organizing community activities, etc.

  • Contemporary art creators, educators, organizers, and everyone who has a creative idea for the event are invited to participate in the project;
  • The piece/activity must broadly respond to the theme of the event: other side of the street;
  • Applicants can use an existing work/activity, transform it, or create a new one;
  • The work/activity will be presented during the event – Putvinskis Street Day (May 26);
  • The authors of the work/activity will be ready to cooperate with the curatorial team of the Kaunas Artists’ House in the implementation and presentation of the work/activity.
  • 300 EUR fee (before taxes and including material and transport costs);
  • Consultations of the curators of the Kaunas Artists’ House;
