On February 1, Saturday, 6 pm LTMKS Project Space Malonioji 6 presents an  exhibition The two kinds of order by Gedvilė Bunikytė.

‘The nature of reality is beautiful and mysterious, an unending process of movement and unfoldment. What we see as empty space contains the whole of everything. Everything we know as real is less than and not more than space… my humble lines on paper are there in honor and appreciation of that.’ Gedvilė Bunikytė

Inspired by the texts on non-duality, as well as the theories and writings of the physicist David Bohm, the poet William Yeats and the 18th century scientist Emanuel Swedenborg artist Gedvilė Bunikytė employs her own language of geometric shapes, colours and lines to share the sense of interconnectedness, other dimensions, experience of physical, non physical and multiple realities.

Gedvilė Grace Bunikytė was born in 1984 Lithuania, Kaunas. Graduated from Goldsmiths University of London in 2007. Early art practice included dance, theatre, live art and video. Performed in venues such as Whitechapel Gallery, South London Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts.

Current practice primarily consists of works on paper. A meditative process that is deeply influenced by artist’s interests in philosophy, psychology, religions, mysticism and spirituality.

Showing 24 various format works on paper (ink, pencil, acrylic paint) from the following series: Planets (2012), Tantum ergo Sacramentum (2013), Moons and mountains (nine works, 2012), Mountains and stars (nine works, 2012), Paraphysical (four works, 2013).
