Contemporary Art Centre (Vokiečių St. 2, Vilnius) invites to attend the events following the last week of an exhibition “Lithuanian Art 2012: 18 Exhibitions”. The entrance to the exhibition on August 11th-12th is free of charge.

On Friday, August 10th, 5 p.m. visitors are invited to an auction which is a part of Marija Olšauskaitė project “The Auction” taking place at the South Hall of the CAC.

Each exhibition creates stories, but not all the stories create the exhibitions. In The Auction the tools, that were used to create and show many exhibitions at the CAC, are displayed. Earlier they were invisible companions and the coauthors of the exhibitions that still keep their stories. Now these incognito objects appear on the scene to reveal the versions of their own stories. Those who would like to become the owners of these exhibits are invited to participate in an open auction.
