What are the conditions that enable one to speak? When does the need to speak become prerequisite? Why does the self-censorship occur? Why does criticism need to rehabilitate its judgemental function and how is the current day multifuncionality of  “art workers” affecting their professional relationships? are the questions we invite to debate in an improvised assembly on April 22, Wednesday, 2 pm on the main staircase of the Art Academy of Latvia.

Identified speakers:

Jana Kukaine, art critic, Latvia

Gintarė Matulaitytė, editor of Baltic art press Echo Gone Wrong

Antra Priede, Echo Gone Wrong editorial board, Latvia

Event is open to the public.

During the event some of selected publications from Lithuanian art book store online Artbooks.lt will be available for preview and purchase.
