For ten evenings last February, visitors of Vilnius st. could pass by the installation “ease and release” created by an artist Brigita Kasperaitė.

An artwork “an explosion might occur” installed into a showcase of Naktinis Vilniaus Avilys explores the possibilities for an explosion to happen and at the same perhaps not to happen at all? The artist juxtaposes the physical explosions made by people, together with the ones that might happen inside of us – humans – straight until a precise decision to act is made. The plasticity of the actions, created by these two poles, intertwined with-, as well as dependent on- each other, is transformed by the artist into the forms of video, text, and sound.

The exhibition was open from February 17th until February 27th in the showcase of “Naktinis Vilniaus Avilys”, Vilnius st. 22, Vilnius.

Partners: LTMKS – Lietuvos Tarpdisciplininio Meno Kūrėjų Sąjunga, Vilniaus Dailės Akademija, sound artist Alanas Gurinas.
