In this BA degree show at “Atletika” gallery 15 young artists present their positions arranged over extended fields of animation, photography, media art and contemporary art. They are all graduating from Vilnius Academy of Arts Photography and Media Art Department this year and presenting their final projects in public on this occasion.
Some of the exhibiting artists employ their artworks to expand the boundaries of perception and use various XR (eXpanded Reality) strategies: VR and AR, others alter the notion of traditional and 3D animation or the trace and motion of the line, yet others work with found texts and their poetics. In this exhibition, among post-internet installations one may find some traces of artistic research on limits of photography or strangely sounding performances, which reconstruct the system of sound and art that might be haunting one later.
