A series of educational workshops of the cultural education project “Blossom” ends on 13 December 2022 with the workshop on artificial intelligence, led by artist Ignas Pavliukevičius, taking place at the FAMM cultural space, located at SODAS 2123.

The first part of the workshop will explain what is artificial intelligence and what are its types. In the second part the audience will be introduced to the GPT2 and GPT3 natural language processing models and how to enable them to generate texts within the context of art.

Ignas Pavliukevičius is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague (BA) and Vilnius Academy of Arts (MA). In 2020 he became a member of the Lithuanian Union of Interdisciplinary Artists. Currently the artist is a PhD student of Fine Arts at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Pavliukevičius creates in the fields of interactive installations, new media art and performance art. The artist’s work provokes the audience to question our emotional relationship with technology and asks at which point do technological creatures become living beings. Ignas Pavliukevičius’ works reflect on the technologies operating in the socio-cultural field of the present day and show us the future perspectives by presenting speculated scenarios of the time ahead. The works connect the viewer with the already existing automated beings, encouraging us to ponder over what modern progress actually is.
