Unframed: AR for Artmakers is looking for artists from Finland and Estonia who are passionate about experimentation, cross-sectoral collaboration, and exploring the possibilities of Augmented Reality (AR) in contemporary art to participate in the hackathon in Tartu (Estonia) and showcase their works at AR exhibition in Tampere (Finland).

Selected participants will travel to Tartu for a hackathon between 27-30.7.2025 to explore AR as a tool supporting artistic expression and showcasing with peers, curators, and AR developers. They will learn about its functionality, production possibilities, curatorial approaches, and costs, and brainstorm on how AR could meet the needs of the artists better.

Following the hackathon, the artists will present their works in the AR exhibition in Tampere as part of Tampere Architecture and Design Week between 26.9-5.10.2025.
