Chef and food artist Jonas Palekas, is announcing an open call for the participation in a summer school for experimental and creative cooking. The event will take place during the final phase of the residency program KORDON LAB on Food and Energy in Kärdla, Hiiumaa Island, Estonia. It will provide art/culture/food field professionals from the region to engage with various practices and ways of thinking which intersect with cooking and broader food systems around us. The school will invite you to collect, ferment, bake, smoke and also read, discuss, sense and in other ways practically and theoretically interact with our dietary questions. This is a chance to try the recipe you have never dared to do or invent your own one and have it in a collective setting. It is a chance to present your practice, lead a workshop or just meet ones like you.

The Summer School is free for the selected participants. Housing in shared accommodation and meals will be provided. Participants are responsible for covering their own travels.

By 1st of July send us (jonas.palekas@gmail.com) a short email consisting of a bio and why you would be interested in participating in the summer school and what you imagine to contribute with.
