“Salami Chair”: eco design object by Luca Bornoffi at gallery “apiece”
Gallery “apiece” that exhibits a single artwork of contemporary visual art and/or object of concep-tual design at a time is presenting its second exhibition. This time it is an object of conceptual design titled “Salami Chair” by Italian artist Luca Bornoffi.
The work is a piece of eco design combining elements of art, design and material recycling. During the restoration of his farm, the artist took an old oak beam, mounted two discarded chairs and put some wheels underneath to easily move it wherever you want and for any use. The author is fascinated by the fact that the object embodies his environment and way of life. The beam, which was a leftover after the reconstruction of the residential house, has been given a new purpose, while the wheels embody the character of the artist-traveler. “I think this piece describes the environment in which I grew up and which has shaped me,” Luca says.
The artist is the founder of Art Eco Design Farm Resort, which exhibits his works of fine art and recycling design furniture. It is a mix of different cultural experiences and certain emotions that happen only once. The farm where the artist lives also hosts Eco Design Holiday camps, whose main idea is a fusion of art, color therapy, recycling and DIY.
Luca Bornoffi (b. 1980) is an artist, traveler and wave-inspired explorer. His curiosity and desire to discover and observe diversity has led him to embark on trips, visiting more than 40 countries. In addition to design objects, the artist creates paintings using bright colors as a source of joy, aimed at conveying the imperfections of life.
