Helena Keskküla, Jihye Rhii & Alice Slyngstad opened their group exhibition salty ember normal smoulder in Draakon gallery on June 16th, 2023. Exhibition was open until July 8th, 2023.

She brought her friends along to show where L. dropped it and sat down to cry afterwards.

Her tears were salty, but the lake was not. Many many years ago an airplane landed there as well.

Winking with long eyelashes, he said he was a mouth breather. In between the hairs there are complex congregations of information.

*(eyelashes: She had long beautiful eyelashes, which made her eyes sink deep in dark brown. Her sisters were jealous of it, and the fact that she was the youngest daughter who took all of their father’s attention. One night, when she was asleep they cut her eyelashes with nail scissors. Looking into the mirror in the morning, she started to cry. Despite her endless tears wetting her eyes, her eyelashes did not grow back.)

She recalled a field, burning.

A gust of wind blew and the field went silent. When you work, love arrives. That’s what mom said, that’s what grandma said. Trained to become a hardcore lifter of the streets, she didn’t learn silence from them.
