consider the magnificent satellite… how it shimmers amongst the stars. what a marvelous creature.
the cold, unforgiving space poses many dangers to our little friend. there are asteroid storms, explosions, implosions, the occasional force gravitationnelle— and, of course, the vast, vast emptiness to traverse. it is a daunting task indeed.
and yet, there he goes.
Rytojaus KOSMO Industrijos (Eng. COSMIC Industries of Tomorrow, further shortened as RKI) was established in 2023 with the ongoing goal of perpetuating Lithuania’s status as a SPACE NATION. Geopolitically, Lithuania became a SPACE NATION in 2014; however, spatially, this status dates back about a thousand years earlier (author’s note: planet EARTH is part of SPACE).
Today, RKI boasts achievements such as a successful business trip to the Moon by the Puntukas boulder, the return of Juozas Mikėnas’ monumental swallows, and, of course, the most famous: the liberation of the EARTH satellite PAUKŠČIŲ-PIENAS-321 (Eng. avian-milk-321) toward the boundless horizons of space. With these missions, and many more to follow, the team at RKI aims to build upon Lithuania’s magnificent history and expand the country’s borders—this time, upwards.
1.68 light-years away, the satellite, having escaped Earth’s orbit, broadcasts a message to an unknown receiver near the event horizon.
“We have to keep going tomorrow.
Good news is, I’ll be going with you <3”
