The carousel rotates and revolves around its centre activating gravitational forces of attraction between its elements: sequences of events, objects, ideas, actions and gestures revolve within a practice, a show or a programme. They often appear and disappear, attract and are attracted, combine, repeat and are recombined in cyclical and cumulative movements.
Opening RIDE introduces a new programme of curatorial residencies starting on 15th March 2017 at carousel. By inviting guest curators to take over the upper floor of the homonymous restaurant at 71 Blandford Street, carousel will present a full range of art attractions, with exhibitions, events, talks and workshops.
