Open Call: KORDON Artist-in-Residence Winter Program

KORDON (Hiiumaa, Estonia) invites applications for its self-directed and self-funded Winter Artist-in-Residence Program, running from November 2024 to February 2025. This residency is open to creative practitioners of all disciplines, including visual artists, architects, filmmakers, writers, musicians, performing artists, and those working across disciplines or in collaboration.

Residencies are offered in 2- or 4-week durations, beginning on Sundays and ending on Saturdays. The program provides an intimate and peaceful setting on an island, ideal for concentrated work or self-reflection.

Application Process

As space is limited, applicants are selected based on professional experience, the quality of past work, project ideas, and compatibility with other residents.

Residency Details

The residency house includes two studios/bedrooms with private bathrooms:

Large Studio: Features a spacious work area, a screen, and a projector.
Small Studio: A cozy space with a combined bedroom and studio, suitable for writing or desk-based work.
Residents have access to a shared kitchen, washing machine, bicycles, and push sledges (weather permitting). The residency fee includes all utilities, internet access, linens, towels, and detergents.
