Exhibition ‘Zep Tepi: Tales From the Subconscious’ by Kristina Asinus will open on February 15 at 5 PM at the LAA gallery ‘Drobė’.

“What is Happening? What do you See?” is a question that leads to discoveries of infinite forgotten lives. Kristina Asinus presents a second exhibition about the timeless. “Zep Tepi: Tales From the Subconscious” explores the realms of human consciousness, where existence blends in an unbreakable wholeness. This exhibition highlights authentic experiences, offering a voice to ideas that transcend the boundaries of the mundane.

Zep Tepi, a term from Ancient Egypt, refers to the primordial time—a mythical era when the gods created the world and established order. This concept permeates the exhibition, alongside symbols from Ancient Egypt that guide the viewer. One of the most significant symbols is the Seba star, which marks the artist’s personal journey, beginning with her childhood explorations of ancient Egyptian sites that was one of the defining moments in her spiritual path. Drawing from her experiences with QHHT® (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® —a process that taps into deep subconscious states) sessions and her journey as a practitioner of past life regression technique, Kristina Asinus creates symbol-rich works that merge the mysteries of the human psyche with paradigm-shifting narratives, transforming reality into something magical.

According to the author, “There are very few fundamental facts in the world, and mostly, they are theories. They themselves change and are, at best, hypothetical. In conclusion, the world to me is incredibly enigmatic, and it draws its power from an omnipresent yet invisible and immeasurable mysterious source. To perceive this, one needs feeling. The cultivation of intuition and the willingness to embark on a magical journey.

I have been depicting this feeling through my canvases for many years. Through my personal experiences. And recently, I have begun to search for it in another way—by performing regression hypnosis myself. Through it, I help myself and others who seek answers to find peace and, by switching to the Theta[1] brainwave frequency, discover answers to all the questions that matter to us. Every day, I explore the subconscious, study, read books, and piece together puzzles. By comparing different sources and finding undeniable similarities among them, I sense evidence that the world is far stranger than can be easily explained.”

Kristina Asinus boldly confronts ideological taboos, inviting the viewer to reimagine life in a more expansive, multidimensional way. Ludwig Wittgenstein once described spiritual art as “running against the boundaries of language so this is where spiritual art succeeds it shows or manifests that which cannot be said.” Kristina Asinus embodies this idea by manifesting the ineffable—exploring the unseen and unknown through her works rich in symbols, challenging conventional thinking and expanding the perspective.

Kristina Asinus work presents hope, and upliftment. Her pieces invite viewers to explore individual stories and universal truths guiding with a phrase told to Kristina Asinus by her own Higher Self/Subconscious during a hypnosis experience: “I am This And Even More”.

[1] Theta is a state of very deep rest, containing subconscious information that we have either forgotten or are not yet consciously aware of. It manifests itself in symbols, images, dreams and feelings.
