On Friday, May 23, at 6 p.m., we invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Jumble” by artist Rokas Janušonis, which will take place at the Meno Parkas Gallery (Rotušės a. 27, Kaunas).
JUMBLE
The exhibition title “Jumble” serves as a metaphor for a random combination of thrown dice, an unpredictable mixture of thoughts, words, and meanings.
This exhibition is a new creative period that continues and develops previously started experiments in form and content. By deconstructing old compositions and intertwining them with new works and ready-made objects, I reflect on diverse everyday experiences, the flow of thoughts, sounds, and seen images. By connecting objects into multilayered spatial compositions, I form a three-dimensional picture, a whole, in which I seek dialogue between objects, harmony of color, form, and materiality. The overlapping motifs, meanings, and contexts in the exhibition explore themes of irony or marginality, suggesting the creation of various personal interpretations.
