On the closing day of the Song of Songs exhibition, Sunday, 19 May, beginning at 4 pm, curator Tamara Luuk invites everyone for a communal lamb stew meal. The fifth communal cooking event of the KORR-KORR! (BORBORGYMUS) series at the Lasnamäe Pavilion pays tribute to the dedicated educators of the Tallinn Art Hall: Aljona Tubaleva, Olesja Katšanovskaja-Münd and Minni Hein, who are shaping the future generation of exhibition visitors.

The joint exhibition by Raul Meel and Krzysztof Piętka at Tallinn Art Hall’s Lasnamäe Pavilion, Song of Songs, intertwines images, words and sounds into a whole that is – like life around us – horrifying and sublime at the same time. Tamara Luuk, curator of the exhibition, wonders: “How could Song of Songs not touch the bright side of being human? After all, it is one of the most beautiful biblical texts about love. It couldn’t, indeed – despite the fact that our time adds its unpredictable alternation of hot and cold to our tender feelings, and the melodies of our songs cannot escape darkness.”

KORR-KORR! (BORBORGYMUS) is a series of lectures, workshops, talks and joint cooking sessions at Tallinn Art Hall’s Lasnamäe Pavilion, featuring a variety of creators and thinkers in whose work preparing and sharing food holds a special place. Previous hosts include Ulla Juske, Eva Järv, Hanna Piksarv, Maria Muuk, Hanna Samoson and the Üle Prahi collective.
