October 24th, 18:00 – an art event by the artist group BEDS will take place across two venues: VAA Kaunas Faculty Gallery “Muitinė” (Muitinės St. 2, Kaunas) and “Password_1” Gallery (K. Donelaičio St. 70B, Kaunas)
Performances will begin at 18:30 at “Password_1” gallery and will later continue at the “Muitinė” gallery.
BEDS is a collective and constantly evolving artistic idea of work, structured as an international and mobile network of artists. The project develops through a horizontal, fluid, and participatory approach, placing the artwork at the center, as a space for interaction among practices, languages, and relationships.
Participating artists:
Antti-Juhani Manninen (FI), Eglė Šimėnaitė (LT), Antti Turkko (FI), Yaryna Shumska (UA), Iulia Ghiță (IT/RO), Tuğba Varol (FR), and Lucia Bricco (IT).
The focus this year is to further explore the integrated form of performance and installation that in past editions has already shown its quality in bringing forth new artistic language while maintaining the autonomy and completeness of each work.
The thematic direction for this edition addresses the relationships of closeness between absolute and relative vision, between impossibility and perfection, and, also, between the real and the false – a proximity that does not arise by mistake, but out of expressive necessity: the quest for identity, self-exposure, the public gesture.

The 5th edition, BEDS.Kaunas 2025, unfolds from October 16–24 as a collateral event of the Kaunas Biennial 2025.
