Our exhibition forwards visions and ideas regarding inhuman, uncanny and “unwearable” accessories made out of textiles and metals that limit bodily movements, functions. We are protesting and confronting the ideas of comfort, beauty, consumerism and humanism.

Moving away from the practicality of human-centered design and exploring the aesthetic pull towards the eccentric and the macabre, thus contesting the limits of being human. Attempting to turn our attention towards the feeble nature of our bodies and minds by decentring and even humiliating the human, with the aim of shifting the focus away from fashion as apparel or commodity. Trying to reason whether our actions are providing more value to the human, or taking it away, by conducting a search for the understanding of how the notion of human has changed regarding topics considered to be unnatural and taboo.

Still working with the human body while thinking about fashion outside of immediate human needs, wants and wishes.

The exhibition is open from 23rd -31st of July.
