Photo reportage from the exhibition 'All You Need Is Love' by Simona Žemaitytė at Centrala, Birmingham

A̶l̶l̶ ̶Y̶o̶u̶ Need  Is Love is video installation on love and sex addiction and co – addiction. Made in collaboration with 5 performers who are experiencing sex or/and love addiction, while filming workshops of movement, voices and spoken word.

Non-verbal communication and body language is at the core of expression in the video. Modern-day psychology, especially in trauma healing, is paying more and more attention to things like muscle memory, physical sensations, associative thinking, and expression.

The installation deploys a diverse range of experiences from five performers who discuss their relationship with love and sex. Shame and guilt are at the core of addictive behaviors. The piece will take the audience on a journey through the triggers, boundaries and guilt associated with addiction, that will illuminate a path to belonging and healing.

The work is aimed at people in their 30s, 40s and above, coming from various backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, especially those whose life has been affected by compulsive sexual behaviour and intimacy challenges.

This exhibition was launched at Centrala on March 4th. More than 600 people have already visited the exhibition. Exhibition will be showing at Centrala until April 30th.
