Launched by Whitechapel Gallery (London), the platform Artists’ Film International (AFI) brings together 19 partnering organisations around the world to create a common distribution network for artists’ films. The films that are screened for the first time in Estonia have been created by international artists over the last few years. A roundtable discussion will be held on the opening day, featuring Patrick Hough, Mari-Leen Kiipli, Kristina Norman, and Whitechapel Gallery’s curator Emily Butler as the moderator. Check out AFI’s day one and day two programmes.

On 21 and 22 November, Kai is hosting an artist film workshop, led by Benjamin Cook (LUX). The director of LUX – Great Britain’s principal distribution agency of experimental and artist films – leads a two-day practical workshop in Tallinn. The participants are welcome to come with their project or idea, to further develop it under the guidance of a professional. Due to individual coaching, the group size is limited to 8 people. Get more information from the workshop coordinator Len Murusalu at len@chronolens.com and register with kadi-ell@kai.center
