The selected future Director of VAA Nida Art Colony is announced

After a long consideration, Nida Art Colony congratulates Egija Inzule, the new Director of VAA Nida Art Colony as of September 2019!

Egija Inzule (b. 1986 in Riga) worked as a curator on the teams at castillo/corrales in Paris (2012–2014), at Istituto Svizzero di Roma (2014–2016) and most recently at Shedhalle in Zürich.

Prior to and during these appointments, she has worked with following artists in various formats including exhibitions and research work: Fred Lonidier, Martha Rosler, Sarah Staton, Josephine Pryde, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Gerry Bibby, Nick Mauss, Nina Könnemann, Hans Christian-Lotz, Loretta Fahrenholz, Morag Keil, Melanie Matranga and Chris Kraus among others.

She has also worked with institutions and self-organised spaces, including Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Gallery Silberkuppe in Berlin and Midway Contemporary Art in Minneapolis. She currently lives in Zurich.
