peeter_allik_1__scaledPeeter Allik, known both as graphic artist as well as painter, is one of the legends of Estonian political satire. The exhibition “The Cry of an Autumn Bird Resounds Here” (“Siin kaigub sügislinnu hüüd”) at Tartu Art House focuses on Allik’s paintings.

In parallel with the works completed in the last couple of years, the exhibition also presents a selection of paintings made in the late 1980s and 1990s as well as those from the beginning of the current century.

Peeter Allik (born 1966) is a founding member of the Kursi school. He has been awarded the prizes of Ado Vabbe, Konrad Mägi and Kristjan Raud and a string of prizes mostly focusing on graphic works at both home and abroad.
