Niklas Tafra Presents Sanna Marander

onabout

On January 30th, 7 pm Niklas Tafra presents Sanna Marander at the Reading room of Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius.

There is an exhibition that travels in a wallet. There are too many curators.

Sanna Marander works with text. Text which in this case is actually expressed by Jurgis Griškevicius. A text about text-pieces by Michel Zumpf. There is also a text written by Justė Jonutytė. But actually by Sanna Marander. There’s also this text written by Niklas Tafra, about the text-piece by Sanna Marander, expressed by Jurgis Griškevicius, about text-pieces by Michel Zumpf and about the text written by Justė Jonutytė, but actually by Sanna Marander.

Or rather,

there is an exhibition that travels in a wallet. There are too many curators.

Sanna Marander’s practice is stumblingly looking for the reason behind artistic practice, or perhaps even of utterances in general, how and why we utter things. Her work takes the form of texts, exhibitions and performances and has been presented for example at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Gävle Konstmuseum, Gallerie Invaliden in Berlin, Galleria Vistamare in Pescara, Italy.

Niklas Tafra’s work is concerned with strategies of avoidance and of involvement, preferably both at the same time. His works take various forms and has been presented at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Apiary Gallary in London, Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm, Vita Kuben in Umeå, Note On in Berlin, inter alia.

Organized by Rupert with support from Nordic Culture Point.
