NAC Residency Programme: Neringa Scholarship 2020

Neringa Municipal Council together with NAC of the Vilnius Academy of Arts invites professionals working in the fields of visual and applied arts, design, architecture, art history, theory, and criticism living and working in Lithuania and/or Lithuanian citizens to submit applications for the 9th edition of the Neringa Scholarship.

The scholarship grants a 1000€ stipend and a one month residency at NAC during the period of 1-30 November 2020. The amount of the stipend does not change also in case of a collective application. Applications are accepted until 29 May 2020.

The scholarship is awarded through a competition. The selection is made by the jury of delegated members of Neringa municipality and NAC. The applicant must submit a project proposal related to the political, social, cultural and/or ecological aspects of the Curonian Spit.

The project is to be implemented during a month-long residency at NAC and presented at the end of the residency.

The most important selection criteria are: the quality of the applicant’s artistic practice, the originality and relevance of the proposed project, and the project feasibility.
