Taking on the same issues discussed in the series “The Effect of Contemporaneity” [1], the forthcoming release by Suhail Malik “On the Necessity of Art’s Exit from Contermporary Art” [2] is calling to renounce contemporary art’s logic of escape. Malik’s research on the conditions and shortcomings of contemporary art was presented in a series of talks at the Artists Space [3].
