Žygimantas Augustinas „IN“

Scientific methods are based on author’s attempts to incarnate into the images of King Sigismund Augustus, King Sigismund the Old, his wife Bona Sforca, the Lithuanian poet Kristijonas Donelaitis, or even the new version of the recently reconstructed Palace of the Grand Duchy.

Žygimantas Augustinas studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VAA), the Florence Academy of Arts and the New York Student Arts League. In 2015 he became the first doctor of art in Lithuania. Main themes of his works are the human body and its states, the relationship between reality and fiction in the image. As a source of inspiration, he usually uses his body and various texts. Since 1998, he has been actively involved in group exhibitions, has organized more than 10 personal exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. Ž. Augustinas also teaches at the VAA, reads public lectures, organize creative workshops, participates in conferences.

Irma Leščinskaitė “Painting. Modern Technologies”

The author will exhibit four different painting cycles created by various media. Each piece is a separate, independent space. Four cycles – four versions of the painting’s cognition.

Irma Leščinskaitė is a painter and pedagogue. She has obtained Bachelor’s, Master’s and License degrees at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Had internships in Germany and Austria. Member of the Lithuanian Artists‘ Union. Since 1990 he has been involved in 105 group exhibitions, held 23 personal exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. I. Leščinskaitė represents the abstract painting direction. According to the artist, her “own self” or the so-called “inside” is not and can not be the only source of inspiration – she seeks for more sustainable issues in cultural treasuries than a changing status of a person. Lives and works in Klaipeda.

Tadas Vincaitis “From the street to a Gallery”

The exposition will consist of a photo exhibition, a review of the Lithuanian graffiti scene from 1989 to the present day, and an exhibition of personal works by one of the pioneers of graffiti in Lithuania, Tadas Vincaitis.

Tadas Vincaitis is an artist of wall painting, a graphic designer, a pioneer of graffiti art in Lithuania. He has received a Bachelor of Architecture at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, and graduated from interior design at the Kaunas Applied Arts School. Actively participates in group exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
