priitPriit Pangsepp’s self-contemplative painting exhibition “Viljandi Priit” gives an insight into Pangsepp’s creation of the last couple of years.

Pangsepp’s paintings with allegorical plots are characterised by an ironic glimpse into the existential problems of being a human, but instead of moralising oppression the artist greets the viewer with irresponsible hedonism.

Priit Pangsepp (born 1966) is one of the founding members of Kursi school. Pangsepp graduated from Tartu Art School in 1985, he is a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association and Tartu Artists’ Union since 1992. Pangsepp has participated in a number of Kursi school exhibitions as well as annual exhibitions in Tartu Art House, but it is more than ten years since he last held a solo exhibition.
