Institutio media invites everyone interested to take part in the knowledge exchange laboratory with expert in geoenergetics Vaclovas Mikailionis and artist Saulius Leonavičius.
Vaclovas Mikailionis will introduce the structure of Vilnius old town as a place of worship, with its unique energy grid structures that characterise this particular city, as well as the influence of the river energy. Radionics and biolocation will be discussed as methods for measuring the energy of the Earth, considering practical use of these methods and discussing the mysticism and skepticism around them. All participants of the laboratory will have an opportunity to test the methods of radionics and biolocation themselves by exploring the area around “Sodų 4”.
Saulius Leonavičius will introduce the costume of a psychonaut he is currently creating and will demonstrate how to make one of its elements – the sitting belt. The costume of a psychonaut is a costume which allows to connect a psychedelic vision with a critical design strategy. It is a tool which assists when traveling in physical and mental space and spending long periods of time in the nature, contemplating the transforming states of consciousness.
The laboratory will end with the discussion and open presentation of results.
Vaclovas Mikailionis is a researcher of lithuanian ethnic culture, writer, translator, expert in geoenergetics, earlier he has participated in art project by Artūras Raila “Power of Earth” (2005-2012).
Saulius Leonavičius is an interdisciplinary artist, doctoral student at Vilnius Academy of Arts, currently researching the phenomenon of pharmakon (as remedy/poison) in culture. Leonavičius is also researching the potential experiences of psychedelics, neoshamanism and transpersonality from theoretical as well as practical perspectives.
This event is organized by Institutio Media in collaboration with Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association and is kindly supported by Lithuanian Council For Culture as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
