Movie Watchers on a Train

Done Kino is the first Kino Kabaret event in the Baltics. It takes place between 10-16 August 2013 (with a warm up event on 9 August) by Tallinn’s Ptarmigan in the frame of Done Lab.

Done Kino, unlike other Kino events, asks its participants to use existing raw film/video material as an inherent part of the projects and to mix, reshape, and reinterpret it with other participating Kinoites. The philosophy is not about finishing already existing projects, but more about treating outdated or ’excess’ footage as an tool for collaborative movie-making. Done Kino also allows raw footage to be submitted without one’s personal participation in the event. Moreover, at Done Kino there are no breaks between the three 33-hour film production sessions since there should be no rest from making things done — which means that immediately after the first screening starts, the production meeting of the second session starts; after the second screening ends, the production meeting of the third session starts…

Done Kino is open not just for the participants but also for the public.
Everyone willing to watch the results of three 33 hours long Done Kino filmmaking sessions (on 11 August 21.00, 13 August 10.00, 14 August 23.00) is welcome. The exact locations of the screenings will be announced soon.
