Palette, a migrating platform with the function of a bar steps into the space of Salon du Salon, offering the viewer thematic drinks blended with artworks by the artists, collaborators and creators of this set-up. The artist has chosen to play with the name palette indicating both the physicality of a bar’s counter and also the act of mixing. The bar becomes an eclectic piece combining references from various historic eras and personal sources of inspiration – both spiritual and physical.

Daria Melnikova is a Riga-based artist, who works with installations and objects. Her work results from a meditative study of daily routine, clichés, architectural details and mere casual moments. She has recently exhibited in Gallery Vartai, Vilnius; Karlin Studios, Prague; PLATO, Ostrava; Kulturfolger, Zurich; Kim? Contemporary Art Center, Riga, etc.
