Photo reportage from opening of [six chairs] BOOKS

[six chairs] BOOKS (Vytautas av. 71, Kaunas, Lithuania) have been opened on 3rd of July with a conversation ‘and if the pencil was’ between Robertas Narkus, Antanas Gerlikas and Marija Olšauskaitė.

Robertas Narkus (b. 1983) lives and works in Vilnius and he is mainly concerned with the architectonic of circumstances. Antanas Gerlikas (b. 1978) lives and works in Vilnius and he is constantly telling stories. Marija Olšauskaitė (b. 1989) lives and works in Vilnius and she is partly interested in crystals.


[six chairs] BOOKS
is contemporary art bookstore in Kaunas, Lithuania, being one of the very few in Eastern Europe's region. Our goal is to enlarge the notion of the bookstore, combining the education of local curators, artists, critics etc. with the formation of potential audience for contemporary art in the region. ALL THIS IN THE SETTING OF BOOKS. [six chairs] BOOKS is in active relationship with Vytautas Magnus university in Kaunas, Lithuania.
