On February 28th at 7 p.m. an improvised performance of two artists Ji Park (South Korea) and Wen Chin Fu (Taiwan) will take place in VMU Arts Gallery „101“. The performance is based on a traditional South Korean story and the two performers from Asia will take the audience to a journey through an oriental landscape.

Choreographer and dancer Ji Park creates and performs lively and inquisitive works for a new cultural spirit, which befits the modern taste, while maintaining tradition and character. Her works, based on the movement of the body’s harmony and unifying dances of the East and the West, create dynamic and visual theatrical sense. Park’s natural movements from various dance techniques are experimented and studied upon the foundation of openness, versatility, and ‘Jung Joong Dong’ (the harmony of the yin and yang). The vocabulary used is very fast-paced and based upon the combination of very short and sharp sequential phrases.

Musician and sound designer Wen Chin Fu in her performances explores the relationship between physical movement, sound and the environment. A key element of her practice is concentration, which opens the senses for perceiving things through new perspectives. In this performance Wen Chin Fu will perform self-made instrument Body Cello.
