Working and festivity space “POT” (Kurt-Schumacher St. 27, Kassel, Germany) invites to one of the series of events - "Interruption" by Neringa Černiauskaitė and Ugnius Gelguda on 13th July from 8 to 11 pm.

Interruption or mistake makes one more aware: the gaze focuses on visuality of writing if a letter misses in a word, the ear hears silence when it’s interrupted by unexpected sounds. Long distance delays, radio echoes, remind of unrevealed, inexplicable, layers wrapping our orderly lifes. During the residency we will prolong the interruption into 24 hours (pirate) broadcasting of one more “ordinary” day of a visitor in Kassel.

Neringa Černiauskaitė is an art critic, curator and editor in chief of Lithuanian contemporary art daily www.artnews.lt. She is an undergraduate at Bard’s Centre for Curatorial Studies, NY.

Ugnius Gelguda artistic portfolio includes photography, time-based media art projects. Since 2007 he is represented by gallery VARTAI, which is based in Vilnius. www.ugniusgelguda.lt

“POT” is opened in Kassel during Summer 2012. The association seeks to invite all interested parties to find ways of co-operation for this undertaking. POT is run by Mindaugas Gapševičius, Matze Schmidt, Karsten Asshauer and Martin Wrede.
